Who Pays for Psychological Services?
Most extended Health Insurance plans, such as those carried by several employers, provide at least partial coverage for psychological services to families and individuals. Since coverage varies among insurers, individuals should contact their insurance companies.
If the service provided by a psychologist is outside a hospital, then the service is not covered by Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP).
Some corporations pay for psychological services.
Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) pay for psychological services.
Car Insurance companies pay for psychological services.
Psychological services are tax deductible.
